Design & Project Coordinator
Stone Creek Design Build | Pennsburg, PA

Stone Creek Design Build is a growing, family-owned design-build company specializing in custom homes, renovations, additions, and finished basements. We are looking for a Design & Project Coordinator to join our team and play an important role in guiding our clients through the design and pre-construction process.

This is a hands-on, in-office position that combines residential design, client interaction, drafting, selections, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with homeowners while also managing the many details that keep projects moving forward.

What You'll Do

Client Design & Selections

  • Meet with clients to discuss their design goals, preferences, and project needs.
  • Guide clients through finish selections including cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, paint colors, doors, hardware, and other materials.
  • Help clients make design decisions while keeping selections aligned with the project budget and overall design vision.
  • Coordinate showroom appointments and vendor meetings when needed.
  • Prepare selection information and communicate approved selections to the appropriate team members.
  • Help clients visualize their finished spaces through plans, elevations, samples, and design concepts.
  • Maintain organized records of client selections and project decisions.

Floor Plans & Design

  • Create and modify residential floor plans using Chief Architect.
  • Develop conceptual layouts based on client needs and project requirements.
  • Make revisions based on client feedback and design meetings.
  • Create basic elevations, cabinetry layouts, and other drawings as needed.
  • Assist with developing plans for renovations, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and custom homes.
  • Use 20/20 Design for kitchen layouts and cabinetry design.
  • Coordinate design drawings with the estimating and construction teams.

Project & Office Administration

Because we are a small and growing company, everyone on our team plays an important role beyond their primary responsibilities. This position will also assist with administrative tasks related to our clients and active projects.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Updating project information and client selections in our project management system.
  • Organizing project documents, plans, selections, and specifications.
  • Assisting with proposals, estimates, and project documentation.
  • Following up with clients regarding selections, approvals, and outstanding decisions.
  • Helping coordinate project meetings and appointments.
  • Communicating with vendors regarding pricing, samples, availability, and orders.
  • Assisting with scheduling and other project coordination tasks.
  • Maintaining organized client and project files.
  • Providing general office support as needed.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in residential interior design, kitchen & bath design, remodeling, or construction.
  • Proficiency in Chief Architect and the ability to create and modify residential floor plans.
  • Experience with 20/20 Design or similar kitchen/cabinet design software.
  • Strong understanding of residential design, space planning, and construction terminology.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
  • Comfortable meeting directly with homeowners and helping them make design decisions.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with a small team.
  • Professional, positive, and solution-oriented attitude.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Experience with construction project management software such as JobTread is a plus.

The Right Person for This Role

We're looking for someone who enjoys both design and people.

You should be comfortable sitting down with a homeowner to help them select tile in the morning, creating a revised floor plan in Chief Architect in the afternoon, and then updating project information or following up with a vendor.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be involved in the entire design-build process, rather than working solely behind a computer or solely in an administrative role.
